Gerald the Giraffe

Gerald Art

Paintings inspired by ‘Gerald the Giraffe’ - star attraction for children at The Royal Albert Museum, Exeter.

Children from a St Sidwell’s Church of England Primary School in Exeter have been working with Sadie on a very exciting project for Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum often referred to as RAMM. Arts Speak was commissioned to produce a set of paintings inspired by the much-loved star attraction of RAMM, ‘Gerald the Giraffe’. Choosing from a selection of well-known 20th century painters, including Picasso, Van Gogh and Monet, a class of 9 and 10 year olds created these vibrant, colourful acrylic paintings reminiscent of inspirational artists. The children are very proud of their paintings and sculptures which are exhibited in the cafĂ© of the newly refurbished RAMM until December 2012

Welcome to the new generation of Geralds!
