Gerald the Giraffe

Gerald Art

Paintings inspired by ‘Gerald the Giraffe’ - star attraction for children at The Royal Albert Museum, Exeter.

Children from a St Sidwell’s Church of England Primary School in Exeter have been working with Sadie on a very exciting project for Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum often referred to as RAMM. Arts Speak was commissioned to produce a set of paintings inspired by the much-loved star attraction of RAMM, ‘Gerald the Giraffe’. Choosing from a selection of well-known 20th century painters, including Picasso, Van Gogh and Monet, a class of 9 and 10 year olds created these vibrant, colourful acrylic paintings reminiscent of inspirational artists. The children are very proud of their paintings and sculptures which are exhibited in the café of the newly refurbished RAMM until December 2012

Welcome to the new generation of Geralds!
